Conceptual Target

The conceptual target statement was reviewed by independent geological consultants, MSA Geoservices (Pty) Ltd (MSA). The potential quantities and grades of the target statement were developed through analysis of historical mining survey maps, mine forecast plans, surface reef outcrop, surface-underground infrastructure maps as well as historical production records. However, there had been insufficient exploration by the Company to define a mineral resource and was uncertain if further exploration would result in the determination of a mineral resource.
These targets are comprised of areas prospective for near surface mineralisation, unexploited underground mineralisation and underground areas within historical infrastructure where parallel reef structures are targeted.
This target statement was been delineated through assessing the Company's entire lease portfolio. The 500m vertical depth limit applies to the Rand and DRD leases, with the remaining East Champ d'Or, West Rand Consolidated and West Wits leases focusing exclusively on near surface mineralisation down to a maximum depth of 65m due to water table issues.
